I hold a Masters of Information Science from the School of Library and Information Science at Indiana University with a concentration in Human-Computer Interaction and a Bachelors with a double major in Economics and Sociology / Anthropology from Earlham College.
I have studied human behavior on both a societal and individual level and have used my social science background to further define user goals and site requirements. I have formal training in a variety of forms of ethnographic research, survey methods, cognitive psychology, economic behavioral analysis, human-computer interaction, interaction design, information architecture, usability testing and web design.

- Bridging the gap between visual design and development by clearly defining interface behavior and its impact on the end product.
- Designing in compliance with web standards.
- Emerging mobile use patterns and designing for the mobile web.
- Merging the world of online experience with our physical surroundings via the creation of devices that are holistically user-centered, ubiquitous, location and context aware, enhancing our daily lives with layers of personal, historical, and time sensitive information.

personal pastimes:
I currently reside in Providence, RI and fill my personal time with Red Sox baseball, amateur robotics, physical computing, digital fabrication, general tinkering, teaching my pet fish to do tricks and listening to 1930s-1950s radio programs .
